The Brown Building in downtown Austin Texas was built as an office building in 1939 and now contains residential lofts. I own three 637 square feet open lofts in the Brown Building. If you would like to get on the waiting list for the next available loft, please e-mail me at valnegri@valnegri.com.

The lofts have an industrial form, highlighted by exposed beams, concrete floors and 10 ½ feet high ceilings. The kitchen features custom millwork cabinetry and modern appliances including a dishwasher and microwave. The lofts have a washer and dryer and individually controlled central air conditioning and heating systems.

The lofts are on the 9th floor of the 10 story Brown Building and have a spectacular view of downtown Austin. Sunshine floods the lofts via the large operable windows. The building’s roof top sun deck with Hill Country, Capital and downtown views is only two flights away.

The building's elegant lobby features Art Deco ornamentation with pink, green and yellow terrazzo floors and rose marble walls. There is a small fitness center in the building solely for the use of residents.

A reserved garage parking spot is assigned to each loft. The secured Brown Building parking garage is attached to the building.

The Brown Building is located at the corner of Colorado Street and West 8th Street in downtown Austin. It is a short walk to all that downtown Austin has to offer – including restaurants, cafes, bars, clubs, shops, theatres, museums, Town Lake and many special events. The state capital and downtown office buildings are also a short walk away. The University of Texas and other sites within or in close proximity to downtown Austin can also be reached by Capital Metro public transportation.
